Established in 1995

BOUBYAN is a newly formed Petrochemical Company, to be the first Petrochemical Company owned by the private sector in Kuwait, with a paid capital of 30,000,000 KD.

A final agreement has been established to form "Equate" Petrochemical KSC, which is a Joint Venture between Union Carbide Corporation, Petrochemical Industries Company of Kuwait (PIC) and BOUBYAN Petrochemcal Company, to construct a giant Petrochemical Complex by mid 1997.

BOUBYAN Petrochemical Company has been established to produce all Petrochemical products and its subsidiary by products, and to marker, purchase, import, distribute, export and the storage of these products.  And to participate in all these activities in the State of Kuwait and outside directly of through an agency.

By handling all the downstream production of the Petrochemical Complex BOUBYAN faces a significant challenge and an excellent opportunity both in Kuwait and outside to market and export these main and subsidiary by products and to convert these challenges into success.  In addition as apart of BOUBYAN marketing program it will apply lessons learned from similar projects, identity and mitigate risks and provide access to world wide market that can secure the best international prices.

The special strength of BOUBYAN is that in addition of being partner in Equate the major scope of work would be the downstream industries based on the products produced by Equate Petrochemical Complex plus it is the only and the first company in Kuwait that is specialized in the Petrochemical downstream field.  BOUBYAN will be a major participant in all activities related to the aromatic project that will be built in the near future in Kuwait.

Since a multiple licenser are involved in an integrated petrochemical Complex "Equate" utilizing advanced process Technology, massive industry and opportunities would be handled of a defined strategy and marketing tactics giving BOUBYAN a leadership position.
